Kimba is widening its extracurricular services and activities, in order to cover the children’s needs, using state of the art educational methods (early stimulation, multiple intelligences,...) which contribute to the child’s comprehensive development at a cognitive and emotional level.

For the “Learn with Kimba” programme to take place there must be a minimum of 5 children per group.



1. Create Art 


This activity involves bringing art to the children and stimulating, in a playful way, their natural ability to imagine, create and invent their own works of art.

OBJECTIVE: To discover the creative potential of the children and make art an enjoyable means of expression through which they can release their emotions, thoughts and experiences. They will learn:

2. Music


Through various programmes, depending on the age-group, Kimba brings music to the children, helping them to develop basic natural abilities.

MUSIKIMBAS I AND II

OBJECTIVE: To share with the child, the teacher and the parents the pleasure of making music through children’s songs, different listening experiences, percussion instruments and traditional games.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT I AND II 
OBJECTIVE: To utilize basic skills such as concentration and aural ability, rhythmic and melodic memory, motor skills and speech development and projecting the voice with music, dance and imagination through games and key tools.

SUZUKI VIOLIN OBJECTIVE: To educate and introduce the children to music through violin lessons, which stimulate their musical ability through the introduction of this instrument.

4. Move Kimba 

Kimba, using psychomotor education, develops the children’s intelligence through movement, with tasks that stimulate their feelings and sensations.

OBJECTIVES:
-To teach sensitivity: enabling the nervous system to experience the highest possible range of sensations.
-To teach perceptive ability: becoming aware of the sensations in their own body and those in the outside world.
-To teach representative and symbolic ability: encouraging the children to lose their inhibitions and shyness and to express themselves in a spontaneous way.

1. Early Stimulation School
 
For Kimba Early Stimulation is an essential resource in children’s education.

Its main objective is to help in the formation process of the human cerebral structure, providing suitable stimuli to ensure that the child’s mind is well-developed. Kimba offers you various sessions, run by an expert, so that you can learn to stimulate your children.

(They can come with their parents or any other adult).

-KIMBA listen: musical listening experiences, aural stimulation, instruments.
-KIMBA look: visual stimulation, bit of intelligence games, mind maps.
-KIMBA feel: smell stimulation, taste stimulation, touch stimulation.
-KIMBA non-stop: manual ability programme, mobility and coordination programme, balance programme, proprioceptive stimulation.
-KIMBA learn: mathematical understanding, introduction to reading, introduction to writing.

 2. Parenting School

To contribute to the children’s educational development, Kimba, alongside the Instituto Europeo de Estudios de la Educación (IEEE) – European Institute for Educational Studies, runs the Family Education Programme, in small groups within the Parenting School: a personalised ongoing training plan aimed at parents to produce a personal improvement in the children through developing their willingness.

Day: Monday (5 sessions per term)

Place: in their own Schools. 



EXTRACURRICULAR KIMBA FOR GRANDPARENTS 
Grandparents, mainly due to the busy life parents must lead, often play an important role in the education of their grandchildren. We therefore offer you the chance to have fun with your grandchildren through various activities.

ENJOY YOURSELF WITH KIMBA

1. KimbaPark (Kimba Salburua)

Kimba has a children’s play park with different areas so that the children can enjoy playing football, playing in the ball pool, going down the big slide or showing off their talent on the giant slalom.

KimbaPark is available at any time of the day. Come and enjoy it!

Price: 5 € (1 hour) / 3 € (30 min.)

2. BirthdayKimba (Kimba Salburua y Kimba Zabalgana)

Kimba wants to celebrate your birthday with you. They offer you a special themed party (Peter Pan, Pirates of the Caribbean, Winnie the Pooh...) with different menus and fun activities for you to enjoy with your family and friends. In addition, the room will be decorated according to the party you choose.

Party price: 11 € (this will vary depending on the services chosen).

3. PlayKimba (Kimba Salburua)
In PlayKimba you will be able to enjoy the different recreational activities so that you can learn to play: workshops, handicrafts, games, storytelling. All this is available from Monday to Friday from 17.30 to 20.00 and Saturdays from 10.00 to 14.00.

Price: 6 € (hour) / 4 € (30 min.)
Subscription price: 75 € (15 h) / 140 € (30 h) / 160 € (45 h)

4. Kimba Camps

At different times of the year, Kimba offers you the chance to learn through different themes. In September you will be able to enjoy “Film camp” to develop your creative skills, get closer to the world of cinema in an enjoyable way and awaken your interest by learning in a playful way.

Prices for camps:
Day-care service: 4 € (single day) / 35 € (camp) (Time: 7.30 to 9.30)
Meal service: 5 € (single day) / 40 € (camp) (Time: 13.30 to 15.00)

SPECIAL KIMBA 

1. Multisensory world (Kimba Salburua) 
Kimba is the only centre in Alava that has a multisensory classroom in its facilities. Within it you will be able to distinguish between feelings, stimulation and relaxation. A place full of features with music, coloured lights, aromas, textures, where you can explore, discover and enjoy a world of feelings. This classroom can be used either as part of the Stimulation School for Parents or within the children’s play-centre.
